Dianne Thomas, MD
I am an Adult and Child and Adolescent psychiatrist with a private practice in Hackensack, New Jersey.
I am a graduate of The Faculty of Medical Sciences in Jamaica, West Indies. Later, I completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry, and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Harlem Hospital Center in New York.
Having worked for seven years as the Clinical Director of an inpatient Child and Adolescent unit at a busy city hospital, I have the experience of treating a wide range of emotional disorders in children. I also worked for a number of years with adults and children at an outpatient clinic.
In my private practice I treat patients between the ages of five and seventy-five.
It is my motto that patients should be involved in their own recovery. Discussions are geared towards providing a greater understanding of their illness in a calm and caring environment where patients can safely express their needs.
